Journey's End, V2 Merlot, 2020

The Varietal Series is a selection of exceptional estate wines that deliver the expression of our vineyard and what we do at Journey’s End. Through rigorous fruit selection and meticulous attention to the winemaking, the V Series delivers bright, clean, fruit-driven wines, numbered to reflect the order in which they should be tasted.

Merlot grapes are hand-picked from a vineyard block situated next to a Eucalyptus forest, which adds a natural herbaceous flavour profile. The V2 is Matured for 18 months in French oak barrels, which allows the cassis and blackcurrant notes to shine while creating complexity with notes of vanilla and nutmeg.  An elegant, polished wine exhibiting soft, silky tannins that will continue to age gracefully.
