A gorgeous, sumptuous and majestic red Burgundy, this is a wine that impresses in every way - including how good the beautifully classic bottle looks (makes a great gift, by the way!). Rich and full-bodied, with velvety texture, lusciously deep fruit character and complex, truffley nuances, this can keep for a few years, but it's so irresistible, crack on and enjoy it straight away. Not to be confused with Côte de Beaune Villages, this exceptional wine is made from the fruit of younger vines in the famous Clos des Mouches Premier Cru, as well as plots in other Premier Cru vineyards owned by Joseph Drouhin on the southeast-facing slope overlooking the town of Beaune.
