With its deep rusty rosehip colour and mature mellowness, the Barolo Paiagallo 2019 comes across as a venerable vintage. It is crafted in a suave, succulent style that makes it absolutely delicious to enjoy immediately. Flavour concentration and intensity build on the palate, giving the wine satisfying weight and length, with an attractively spicy, liquorice note. This will provide superb drinking for several years to come, although it's pretty much irresistible right now. Drink 2024-2032.
