Bodega Cerrón, La Servil Monastrell, 2023

La Servil has deep, juicy aromas of black cherries, blanched almonds and liquorice root. It has a bright, fresh personality on the palate, with no shortage of satisfying concentration and richness of texture. Superb wine to drink right away or cellar a few years. For Juanjo and Carlos Cerdán's grandfather, 'La Servil' was synonymous with the highest quality fruit - the vineyard district of Fuente-Álamo that consistently produced the best. This wine comes from two parcels of ungrafted vines, one facing south and the other north. The low pH, high acidity and alcohol help make wine that is stable and naturally-produced.
